I spent most of yesterday being painfully sick. Despite the day it was not from drinking. Thankfully not appendicitis, which the nurse line frightened me with when we finally called them. Just some horrendous stomach flu/food poisoning/god knows what. Thankfully they called in a prescription anti-nausea med so I could get some relief. Today everything hurts from throwing up every forty minutes for several hours. I have a bruise on my forehead from leaning on the sink/tub/toilet. Every muscle in my face and neck aches.

It was not really how I planned to start the year. It was also especially awful going to work to unload the truck this morning. Good that I did because someone else didn't show. I spent the afternoon not moving.

My weight has crept up, making me an unhappy guy. So it is time to stop binge eating chips and to eat more fruit instead.

I am not sure I'll be able to top last year's reading extravaganza. I had some months of unemployment to do nothing but read a couple books a day. Tomorrow I have to go pick up my library holds and renew my card. Somewhere in a box I still have my first library card from my childhood.
