how I learned to love youtube
Aug. 13th, 2014 11:48 amDAY SEVEN: a youtube video that you find funny
I've tried to decide what one video to link for hours. Basically the past couple years of my life have been so much better and hilarious because of the Yogscast and Hat Films videos. I have laughed until my face hurt. I genuinely credit the Yogscast with bringing back my love for gaming because I saw that you could suck at games and still have a fun time.
My most favorite thing of all time is probably Trucking Tuesday. There's a whole ridiculous genre of simulation games involving driving. Everything from driving 18 wheelers to driving tow trucks and street sweepers to the utterly classic Airport Firefighter Simulator. These games are often buggy and absurd as hell. Like there is no reason to play them. They are so bad. Things go terribly, terribly wrong. But watching Simon and Lewis play this stuff and get reduced to actually crying from laughing is the greatest thing I've ever seen on this channel.
So here is the best video on the entire internet for me, a two and a half minute tribute to the absolute glory of Trucking Tuesday in all its glitchy majesty. Thank you. Thank you for making something that even in my worst moments can make me laugh out loud. I really, really needed that today.
