seven fears
Feb. 26th, 2015 03:52 pmI'm quite afraid of heights. I find myself in a terror that I'll throw myself over the edge.
Spiders. I know 90% of the time it is irrational. My father was bitten by a spider and had a nasty scar from it.
I have this morbid fear of being violently blinded. I don't know why. If I could get away with wearing safety goggles/sunglasses all the time, I would. It got a lot worse after LASIK, since I don't have the shield of glasses anymore!
Anything and everything to do with dental work and teeth makes me break out in a cold sweat. It's gotten a little better since I have such a kind dentist. But ugh.
I have that deep aversion and abhorrence for clusters of tiny holes. Apparently that's a much more common phobia than I thought.
Losing my mind, or any sort of cognitive degenerative disease ranks high in my fears. I'd deal with every physical indignity so long as I didn't lose my mind.
I'm afraid of dying. Aren't we all though.
