wow. i am in full agreement with you here and have OFTEN had to suppress the ranting urge on this topic! I own a siberian husky and one of the most common signs of this irresponsiblity in ownership is when i see these incredible creatures young and OVERWEIGHT! argh! (takes breath) I also own an african grey parrot and THAT is a whole different story altogether! But, to keep this short, I learned that parrots, not dogs or cats, are the #1 most given up animal in US. #1!! and why is that?? people have NO idea what they are getting into and unlike a dog, if you leave a parrot alone it will scream, bite and eventually maim itself. sad. terrible. humanity can hurt.
eh. but there is always evolution! lol
