Oh, god, I know just where that is... Do you think Hana would understand if we just got on a plane instead of going to class?

That's so beautiful. I still have my postcard. *smiles* Thank you again for sending one to me.

Sigh. Me too.

I was just saying that to my bf. We were there last Jan and I miss it so much. Easily my fondest winter memory.

I can't wait to see it in winter. I bet it's just gorgeous.

You're quite welcome. I had such fun writing postcards, they're one of my favorite things.

I was talking to my best friend the other day about learning Russian, do tell me the math. Is Russian a Slavic language? Do they speak Russian in Prague? What country is Prague in?

Russian is Slavic, but they speak Czech (also a slavic language) in Prague...it's in the Czech Republic. Although, there are lotsa Russians in Prague that do speak Russian...oh, and when it was under Soviet control, everyone took Russian in school. So, if you happened to know Russian and happened to be in Prague, I'm sure you wouldn't have much trouble communicating.

Isn't it? That's the postcard I sent George and Suzanne this summer. I lived quite near this very spot, and spent a lot of time wandering around out there.

Russian is indeed a Slavic language, and pretty much the granddaddy of them all. It's beautiful!!

Prague is in the Czech Republic, a pleasant country smack in the middle of Europe. Lots of folks there speak Russian. It's quite a multilingual city. One hears a lot of German too.

I actually like the concept, too. But I'm hesitant to join the postcard community. The notebook community turned out to be a bad thing. I've sent out like 10 notebooks and no one has updated me to say where they are or anything. Oh, well. I guess the benefit of notecards is the lack of energy needed to send them out.

Yes, I was somewhat disappointed in the notebook community. I wonder what happened to that notebook I sent out. It would be weird to get it back six months from now.

Hmm... I don't think it would be that bad ... with the assumption that the book was filled out.
