P. sent me a gift. From his letter:
You could maybe think of it as a rebirthday gift and open it on the thirteenth. Would be good for a four year old Russian girl as for you...
It's Alice in Wonderland, translated into Russian by Vladimir Nabokov! Oh my goodness, I didn't even know they still had copies of this in print. It even has the odd Zalshupin illustrations he used. Just like in 1923. I can't wait to read it. Getting books I've only ever heard of and never seen is a wonderful thing.
