Sacraments are signs which proclaim faith.

That struck me today, during our discussion of sacraments and states of grace. The old Baltimore catechism defines sacraments as "visible signs of invisible grace." The ritual of the Church is something dear to me, something helps me on this never-ending quest for God. I believe, yes I do. It does not still the yearning to see, to touch, to feel and I seek it always. Brief glimpses, moments draw me on.
