threeplusfireSleep is all off schedule and I just can't stop coughing. Damn it.
Books I got today:
Georges Florovsky- Russian Intellectual, Orthodox Churchman, edited by Andrew Blane
The Wolf and The Crown, by A.A. Attanasio
The Moon and Sixpence, by W. Somerset Maugham
Deb and I ate Chinese food for lunch and went to the bookstore, then played with her kitties and watched MTV2. I have this terrible weakness for the Chinese buffet, being able to eat plates of rice and mushrooms and chicken. Mmm. Watching MTV2 was entertaining, in that I never get to see music videos anymore. I'd like to have an hour of old 80s videos to watch. Mostly they suck these days, but I was amused by some. Outkast's "Mrs Jackson" was mildly amusing, a rap video lacking any girls in hot pants or bouncing breasts. The video for some Wu-Tang Clan song was ridiculous, some faux BC fake clubs, girls in animal prints and furs making their bodies contort and bounce in highly unnatural ways. I liked Eminem's video for "Stan" cause it was just extra creepy. I'm starting to dislike Creed, cause it seems like their singer wants to be some kind of Christ/Eddie Vedder halfbreed. All in all, pop music is pretty lame these days. What a shame.
Supposed to go out tonight, but I think I may just plead illness and exhaustion. I just want to stay home and clean up my living room, go back to sleep.
