Driving

Gene and I took off for the Circuit City in Killeen, and snagged a rather cheap Apple iBook. It's a cute little machine, with lights and one almosts expects to hear it breathing. Great fun, especially finding a Dairy Queen in Salado and finding ourselves in this very David Lynch-esque setting. I was waiting for the man in the gray jacket to do something weird.

bill and i stayed in a b&b in salado once :) it was fun...even if it was 105 degrees when we first got there for our picnic lunch :)our room came with a porch swing (gotta love that) and we sat on it with cold beers watching someone's wedding that was taking place at said b&b. the dairy queen sounds fun....b and i have memories at dairy queens too... i'm having some nostalgia now! dangit! :)

Cool! What an excellent story. I had a serious urge to check into a hotel and stay for a day or two, just get away from everything. (though I'm sure I would have seriously been aching for my net connection within 8 hours)

It's not a real town without a Dairy Queen!

What were you doing in Killeen? :)

I remember when that Circuit City was new. They started out with all these cool CDs by obscure artists, but I guess that just didn't pay off... Still not a bad place to shop though. Jean wants to get the computer-drawing-board-what-yer-may-call-it they have there.

Someone told me my pictures reminded them of David Lynch recently.

Who is he?

the way the iBook pulses makes it seem alive, and yes.... much like breathing. *creepy* (but neat!)

David Lynch, one of the most interesting filmmakers around. Most known for the movies Blue Velvet and Eraserhead, and the TV seris Twin Peaks.

I can see how someone could find your photos Lynchian. They're quite interesting, and full of possibility.

Oh!

I knew the name sounded familiar.

I'm not really familiar with any of his movies, though.

Thanks about my photos. :)
