Swimming in the afternoon, reading Death and the Penguin by Andrey Kurkov. Fascinating, delightful story. I want the next 8 hours to disappear, quickly and with a minimum of trouble. All I want right now is to go to Metro, talk with Gene and play cards.

I love to swim. Especially in Barton Springs, where the water is always 65 degrees. It's heaven in the summertime.

I got the tattoo in January. It's on the inside of my right ankle. A long time ago, my ex-girlfriend used a sewing needle and a bottle of india ink to put her mark there. It's something I've never been comfortable with after that relationship went to hell. For the past few years I wouldn't wear sandals unless they covered it, because I never wanted to explain.

I have some smashingly sandals to wear this summer. One pair of flats, with silver butterflies across the toes, and my heeled Czech shoes. I think I'll wear them today! :D
