Warcraft III

Warcraft III - July 3rd
That means I have time to play before I leave the country. Excellent. The more I look at the game, the more enthused I become. It's been ages since the last time I played Warcraft or Starcraft. It's one of my favorites.

Didn't like Warcraft 3

I beta tested warcraft 3 for like months now and I still don't like the game at all. If your looking of a great game to get lost in go get Neverwinter Nights. Its more the RPG type but alot of fun.

What precisely do you not like about it? Is it radically different from, say Warcraft II? I'm curious.

How is Neverwinter Nights? I'm tempted by that too.

Warcraft 3 just isn't anything new to me. Its like every other RTS that went 3d they did it badly IMO. The camrea is lacking and its just the standard gameplay with two new races (that arn't all that great).

NWN on the other hand is really an amazing game. Its very detail filled and fun to play. You can sit and play it for 5 or 6 hours with out getting tired or playing or burned out. It looks nice and has some features that other games of this sort do not. As it is being based off of D&D it has alot of power to the game itself you can even run your own D&D games using it and has great mutltiplayer and single player missions

Perhaps I am just rather nostalgic, since I haven't played Warcraft or Starcraft in ages. It was my addiction in my last year of high school.

I'm hearing so many good things about Neverwinter Nights, that I just might have to buy this.

I mean WC3 is ok not great but ok. I would much rather play NWN over WC3. And everyone friend I have shown NWN to droped warcraft 3 and went to NWN as fast as they could buy it. So I guess its just a matter of personal choice.

My boyfriend already has warcraft 3 (not the beta testing, the real one). Perhaps it was leaked over the internet? And I second that you would probably like NWN.

Lucky him! Someone else recently mentioned getting a copy early.

This is the nicest thing so far about being through with college. Having time to play games again.
