well yes

While eating soup at La Madeline last night, I was telling Gene about the weekend James and I redecorated his father's apartment. We had been left without any adult supervision, with plenty of Dr Pepper and Mountain Dew, and we were bored. I remember it being very Pop Art, right down to the pyramid of Campbell's soup cans and the playing cards I glued to the ceiling above the bath.

Gene looked at me, with that disbelieving sort of glance, and pointed out any normal teenagers would have spent the weekend having sex. I laughed, because it really never had crossed our minds. James and I were like brother and sister, really.

Oh, Gawd..... have some soup for me.

Your weekend of decoration sounds like a blast though... given the chance that's what I'd do without supervision too.

Sex? What's that?

I think I'd rather decorate, too, but I'm weird.

i often wonder about these "normal teenagers" people speak of.

Mmm soup.
It was great fun. We played music too loud, ran around hopped up on caffiene and sugar, and did all kinds of silly things. Richard didn't like our creativity though. ;)

In retrospect it seems blindingly clear, but at the time it was just never a consideration. We were dorky kids, you know. ;)

Yes. Can you buy them in six packs? Where do they come from?

I think they all get casted by MTV, sitcoms, and movies. Then the mold is cast.

I worked at the La Madeleine on N Lamar from last August through February. I'm a tall, redheaded guy, usually worked in the bakery or on the line.

Have I met you, then? I haven't been down to the one on Lamar since Easter I think.

If you ever went there before March, it's likely that I served you. We could still meet, if you're up for it. Yeah, I would like that. Need any help packing? :-0

Yawn. I am still getting up. Time for a shower.

Oh gods, let's not even think about packing. It won't be pretty.

I'm usually at Metro every evening, so drop by and say hello sometime this week.
