threeplusfireWell, because my copies of some cds aren't labeled, I bought something I already have. Tomorrow I am going to practice my accusative case endings and see about exchanging it. Whee.
Went and saw Blade II just because I could. It is funny in Czech. I learned how to say motherfucker, which would have come in handy last night when Anja and I were followed and hassled by this creepy guy when we got off the night bus. We had been out clubbing, and came home late. This guy chased after us, and heard us speaking English, so he strarted throwing out random phrases and telling us not to be afraid in Czech. Bah. We ignored him, and walked faster. Eventually he left us alone. Damn drunks. It was probably because Anja is tall and strawberry blonde. Strange men don't usually chase after me.
I am going later with Anke and some of the Germans to see a Czech flim. Rok Dábla. I hope it will be good. It is grey and cool outside, a good day to spend in the movie theater. Plus, they serve enormous American style sodas with ice! Heh.
The exam yesterday went quite smoothly. Was not difficult at all. I feel much more confident about my Czech even though it is not great. I have been translating the menus for everyone when we eat out. Yesterday I stopped in Diana and had grapefruit and lemon ice cream. Absolutely heavenly. (Reive, he is demanding that we return for more.)
In case anyone wants to know, to say motherfucker to someone in Czech is "Zmrde!" Shout away.

Just blur all those sounds into one, and you should just about have it. Forgive me, my mind has blocked all the phonetic transcription I have learned. Maybe my brain will come back when I go to grad school.
