After someone mentioned the mysteries of the underground levels of Moscow, I had to read Omon Ra again. It's my second favorite Pelevin novel, has cosmonauts, underground KGB training facilities, and a surreal, hypnotic style. It manages to end in very unexpected way. I started some Turgenev today, though I'm thinking I might want to go back and read Anna Karenina again, since I have that nice new copy.

I want to start cooking on a regular basis again.

I've been watching the Food Network consistently and I can't help but feel like I've learned something. I don;t know yet though, I haven't tried to cook anything I've seen yet. I saw some host make appetizing cannoli although I do not think I could pull that off. But I do understand the concept of spices.

Me too. I like cooking television. It's given me too many ideas! *runs off to the kitchen to make chocolate sugar cookie mice*
