What a day. I ache, from the cold and the damp.

But it was pleasant to sit in Metro, to listen to Ani DiFranco and the Cure, threatening to eviscerate my arch nemesis, playing cards, talking to Clock. We popped by the tail end of Liberal Arts week fastivities to grab some Commnist food. I hassled Craig, who for some reason spent $400 on a chair. I did get an invitation for Gene and I to go to a party tomorrow for Czech folk and there will be fried cheese. Yay Eastern Europe.

The best part of the evening was magically getting a reservation at the last minute on a Friday night for a party of eight in my favorite restaraunt, and getting to spend time talking to Jennifer. She's about as strange as I am, and it's great fun to talk to someone who can crack jokes about calling the crime scene clean up crew in advance of your suicide. Her friends are pretty funny too. One of them called me a gun toting, alcoholic french horn player, which was really funny in that moment. She gave me a kopeck, and now I feel very Chekov.

Clock is my lucky charm for cardplaying. He won't admit it, but it's true.

I should sleep now.

Eviscerating arch nemesese(sp?) is always one of those one-two propositions:

1. It'd be Hella fun
2. You'd have to deal with him/her in the process

Yup. I know that feeling all too well.

This "scene" is way too small here.

My bassist does a radio show with her, yet he's in the band with me...it's just weird circumstances like that all over the place.

You should really come rescue me sometime. ^_^

Though I think we're going to be in Austin soon to see the Strokes and Ben Kweller, if I can score free tickets out of the station. It'd be cool to actually meet some of my LJ friends.

Fried cheese is a very midwestern food as well, breaded fried cheese. Mmmm unhealthy :)

Aha... I am fascinated by the range of foods and food like substances that people like to fry and consume. Fried foods are neat.

Yeah. The whole up close and personal aspect is icky, but the results might be satisfying. :P

If I had a car of my own right now, I'd so come rescue you. :)
Because you really must come to Austin. It's fun. There are many pretty places round here, lots of coffee and music, and crazy people. Kind of an oasis in the middle of Texas.

Yeah I've never actually been down to Austin for more than like a day and not since I was a kid. Maybe I'll plan a road trip next semester.

Road trips can be good for the soul. As long as you have a place to shower. ;)
