Cold wind, and the sky is dappled with clouds and patterns of light. I can see my breath in the air, which means I shouldn't be sitting out there with my book half dressed and without socks. There are three roses blooming in the yard behind us, a reddish color with the bright tinge of pink. Roses in winter.

Heh, thank heavens for small favors. As long as we survive the annual Day Where It Gets Icy And No One Knows What To Do, we're safe.

Though I would really like to see rea snow sometime. Big mounds of it.
