I love my job. I really do.

The people I have worked with so far are incredibly friendly, willing to talk about their work, how it fits into the system as a whole, share their stories, their time, etc. I'm getting one on one training on the floor with Linda, who is incredibly helpful. Did some actual live certifications tonight, and I feel confident about my learning curve.

Last night I was chatting with Pedro, the security guard at the front desk in the evenings. Showed him my nifty Aragorn ring, admired his own military ring, and such. During the conversation I mentioned that I didn't have gloves because I have little hands and had never gotten around the buying a pair. Tonight when I popped out to have a smoke, he stopped me and handed me a lovely pair of leather gloves lined with rabbit fur. How cool is that? I had to hug him, because it was terribly kind. They are wonderfully warm, and I drove home with them tonight.

Thank you to everyone who has expressed their sympathies, offered help and advice and such things in regards to the situation with my sister. I am glad to know all the good people I do, in the waking world and on the net.

Good job? Where do I sign? ;) I SO want to get out of my current job. Why aren't there more good jobs out there? Why, why? My job is like pcO all over again. In some cases, a little better, some much worse. Why, why, why?

*hugs* I hope things work out for the best. *crosses fingers for your sister*

By the way, your Aragorn ring is awesome. :)
