It's warmed up quite a bit.

Melynda and I went down to Metro to play cards for a little while last night, and ended up back at the apartment watching Eddie Izzard and discussing our friends til five in the morning. We woke up this afternoon and promptly went to see The Two Towers. That makes seven times for me, and five for her. Hurrah for my special ticket privileges.

Each time I hope we will get better movie preview but no. Sigh.

It hit me all over again. Despite the fact that I've seen it so many times, that I can almost recite the dialogue and the order of the scenes by heart now, I find myself overcome and with tears in my eyes. It's beautiful, and so unlike anything I've ever seen before.

Such a small miracle (or not-so-small), to think that New Line entrusted Peter Jackson with this.

I know! I bet the folks at Miramax went out and beat themselves about the head and shoulders with their briefcases for turning him down.

We can only hope. Personally, I wouldn't mind watching Harvey Weinstein walking down Boadway in a diaper, flagellating himself while ringing a large iron bell and yelling "Unclean! Unclean!"... but hey, that may just be me.w

We can only hope. Given some of his executive decisions, I wouldn't mind watching Harvey Weinstein walking down Boadway in a diaper, flagellating himself while ringing a large iron bell and yelling "Unclean! Unclean!"... but hey, that may just be me..
