I should sleep. But I don't, for one reason or another.
Too much on edge for a lot of things.
But I did promise tonight to make pancakes for someone soon.
What is it like to think about redemption? he asks. I shake my head and pass him a glass of wine, and we sit in silence for awhile. It's like thinking about anything else, I say at length, unsure of what he wants. He smirks and I know it is not true.
