Went shoe shopping with the wizard today because he's in a mood. Sadly we found the perfect shoes, just not in our size. What a pity. He's alternately bitchy and maudlin about the whole process. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.
There is a street, hidden amongst all the traditional modern American ugliness of strip malls and shopping centers in the far northwest part of Austin. It's not very long, but there is a curve of road that is something from somewhere else. A double line of trees marches down the center, and there is grass and still more forest to the sides. The trees, which I think now might be pecan, are blooming in cottony white clouds. On a day like this, it is more beautiful than anything else.
I should like to just stay here.

I can't entirely relate...though my wardrobe shopping of late is definitely influenced by my haunted house character "Minion" than it is by what I would normally wear...which is to say, a tiny avalanche of ruched ("coffin-stitched") shirts are making their way into my closet...and I can't really afford 'em, but..*shrug* Who am I to argue?
Re:
But I just found his shoes on ebay, so we're all much happier.

Re:
So what do the shoes look like?
Re:
The wizard had better love me forever for finding these shoes.
