it's love

You know I never really like pictures of me. But I look at this and I can see the girl he fell in love with. That's me. Wow. I look so happy. And dear god, that's my future husband in that photo. Amazing.

He's the most beautiful person, sitting in the passenger seat of my car, with an arm slung across the seat behind my shoulders, staring out the window. Or when he throws his head back and laughs, leaning back in his chair and he'll rake a hand through his hair. He always looks damn nice in that shirt.

Makes me absurdly pleased that this was taken by Melynda in Metro tonight after our insane six person Shanghai Rummy game.

We came home tonight, and talked about dreams, about bank accounts, about his family, about moving to New York. It keeps overwhelming us, this certainty that this is person we're going to spend the rest of our life with, this is real, this is love. We pause and stare, shocked and gleeful.

I practiced signing my name tonight, just to see. It looks good. Alan teases me that the only reason I'm marrying him is so I'll have a real Czech last name.
