I wouldn't trade this for anything
Oct. 20th, 2003 09:06 pmIt boggles me how soon and how far away December is, and how strange it is to think it was only just June when I really started dating Alan. How bizarre how bizarre. I should probably start addressing envelopes. And buy stamps. Dear god, this thing will never get off the ground if it depends on me getting to the post office.
The invites list stresses me out more than most anything else, because I'm terrified all of them will show with people in tow and there's nowhere to park! Ah well. Oddly enough it was a discussion about the guest list that turned into a fight in which my first engagement ended. I very rarely pause to wonder what my life would have been like if I had proceeded with that wedding. Very different, but it doesn't bother me any more. These things, I'm letting go a bit more every year.
I'm happy now, and that's the important thing really.
Work continues to be appallingly slow and despite the words of our general Bradshaw, I saw a troop of new hires following Kimberly round the building this afternoon. I can only hope they won't put one in my state. There's not enough work to keep me, much less a second person.
Must resist urge to dye wedding dress red. I must I must. It was the one big compromise I made.
Nothing really was cleaned this weekend, so I must try during the week. Though I have yet to watched the Chow Yun-Fat film I borrowed...
