After the initial crying jag, I managed to take care of things fairly calmly. Filed a police report over the phone, waited for someone to come out and dust the car for prints on the off chance the thief is a wanted psychopath or something. They actually did lift a couple prints off the door. Learned lots about fingerprints from the nice policeman.

Called people, recieved connection for slightly less expensive glass and someone will fix it tomorrow. My father offered me $200 to help, thogh I tried to turn it down. It was nice of him. He didn't even yell at me for not having the proper subset of insurance that would pay for this damage. There's always next time I suppose.

Alan went to file the marriage license and get certified copies for all the paperwork I need to do. He brought me a stuffed lemur with a very long striped tail. I love him very much.

Trying to catalog all the cds gone is difficult. I can't remember half the album titles right now.

How much do I wish I could listen to some of those right now. All those years collecting, and all gone overnight.

I've gone through more than one breakup by just listening over and over to Concrete Blonde singing, "Love is a vampire, drunk on your blood . . . ."

When I see someone with their entire CD collection in the car I always always advise them not to do it. And since you can really only tell people once before they get annoyed with you, I just cringe when I see it. In my opinion you are guarunteed to get them stolen if you keep so many in the car. It just seems to happen to everyone who does it eventually because they are *such* an easy target.
Anyway I'm really really sorry that this happened to you. :( I've never really had very much stolen from me but I can only image how violating that must feel.

That was the only Concrete Blone album I had, and man I loved it. I've been listening to that cd forever.

I know, it's incredibly foolish. I used to take them out every night, but somehow I grew lax. And now I'm paying for it. Or will be literally, when I try to get some of it back. It's such a weird thing to imagine them gone. I carried half of them over the ocean and back.

Wow, that sure is a lot of cds to be losing. But at least you have a toy lemur - that is possibly the coolest thing I've ever heard in my life!

I have that Concrete Blonde (Bloodletting, right?) a bunch of Tori Amos, Bowie and NIN. Will burn and send. Losing music is the worst.

But lemurs are the best.

This is very true. I wish I had a camera so I could post pictures of the lemur. :)

You're right, lemurs are super cool. His tail is a foot and a half long.

Scarlet's Walk - gave my copy to [livejournal.com profile] ohpossum, but if had by none else, can retrieve; Strange Little Girls; Evanescence; The Fragile; Undertow by Tool?; my boyfriend owns a lot of Nightwish, and I can inquire if you like; Bjork - Post and Vespertine; Radiohead - Kid A.

It would probably be simplest for me to copy these to my hard drive and send them to you on several data cds. Would that work for you?
