rick perry's cousin dirk perry used to be a family friend. i was best friends with his live in boyfriend's daughter through sixth grade. he and dudley, his boyfriend, died of aids when i was a sophomore in high school. the perry family confiscated dirk's body and would not let dudley go to the funeral, nor did they make it public. i guess they did't want to hurt rick's career.
