The Walmart phenom is sad to me. I saw a new commercial last night with lots of black people touting how much Walmart cares about their community, and has revitalized it. The saddest part, to me, is that the people who can make the choice whether or not to patronize them are not the people that require its existence. It's pretty easy to boycott Walmart if you can afford to spend the extra dough somewhere else. Also, they are the world's largest retail employer and they've so far managed to keep their employees from unionizing. Their PR guy says that "the Walmart way is better". Yeah, hiring people part-time at shitty wages so they're ineligible for benefits is better for you.
Anyway, there's my Walmart rant. If you had any question about my political leanings, it should be answered by now :)

Oh, and, I still shop there occasionally.
