it's going to rain

Workout of doom! It was brutal today, with nearly a solid hour of elevated heart rates, hysterical conversation and much sweat. It felt so blessedly good to shower afterwards. While on the cross-trainers, we were having an absurd conversation about coworkers and dot coms and tinfoil hats that caused the woman next to us to laugh out loud. It's always nice when your insanity brightens someone else's day.

I am rather peeved at the gym, for they do not open their smoothie counter until 8am! This I learned from the pretty, interesting, but slightly vacant boy working behind the counter. He hit on me a lot while I was waiting for Brett, something I just find absurd. Why? I don't get it.

This is me waving my wedding ring around prominently.

Anyhow, in a fit of despair I drove into the shopping center next door and discovered Jamba Juice opens at 7am. Hurrah, smoothie! My craving has been satiated at last, with a delicious berry lime smoothie fortified with calcium, folic acid and other such "femme" vitamins. That I don't really get either, but okay.

Reading this makes me realize I've turned into that crazy yuppie bitch I never wanted to be! I drove home with my smoothie in my SUV! Ack.

The sky is a nice pearly shade of gray, and the weather men assure us it will rain today.

The car I purchased last year is a 1994 Honda Passport, which does qualify as an SUV in some respects. Drives much more like a car though, and gets awesome gas mileage.
