Thank you. It might be more bearable if the fixing wasn't going to involve so much pain. I am not looking forward to whatever dental surgery they will do. Ick.
I don't know how bad yours will be since it's causing you so much trouble now. But both of mine were slightly impacted and it really didn't bother me when they came out. They gave me gas and the next thing I knew, I was grumbling because they were waking me up and I wanted to keep sleeping. I slept most of the first day, took percocet for the next two and was fine after that. The only part was that it was a little weird to chew food after a week or so of only eating soup, eggs and pudding.
Well that's good to hear. Everyone's been comeplled to share their dentist horror stories with me lately. Only by a massive act of restraint have they escaped without black eyes.
I'd be much happier if I could take my vicodin at work. But I would drool on the maps in my sleep, I'm sure.
I think I might be allergic to hydrocodone. I'm not sure, though. The last two times I've taken it were for bad migraines. I threw up both times. I don't normally throw up from migraines, but I wouldn't have taken the hydrocodone if they hadn't been so bad. So, I don't know if I'm allergic or I just had the really bad kind of migraines that cause nausea and vomiting.
Hrm.
Anyway, enough about me. I hope you and your toothies are all better soon.
One of my coworkers is very allergic to vicodin/hydrocodone, and it gives him terrible stomach cramps and nausea. So you just might be. Make them give you something else next time!
Well, it wasn't prescribed for the migraines. I can't remember now why I had it, but I've never had any problems with it until recently. Then again, within the last year or so, I've noticed other allergies popping up. Like the allergy to sulpha drugs. I've had them before with no problems. A few months ago, when I was given some as an antibiotic, I broke out in serious hives. My doctor also told me the other day that I have seasonal allergies and I never knew I did. Go figure.
So, it could be a new allergy. I'll probably just stay away from them. Thankfully, I'm rarely in enough pain to bother. Or, maybe it's a combination of a mild allergy and migraines, which do have the potential to cause nausea and vomiting on their own.
