Alan fell asleep on the couch, and I have not the heart to wake him. He slept so poorly all weekend that it seems a shame to try and move him. I know he likes the couch, and it's certainly conformed to his shape over the years. When we replace sad couch, I'll probably feel a pang of guilt.

So I just covered him with our blue blanket and watched him sleep for a little while.

thank god for you.

when i was an insomniac, my ex would wake me up from the sofa to "go to bed." and i would lay in bed and not fall back to sleep for hours and hours. and i'd beg him not to do it the next time, but he was incapable of stopping.

he's very lucky the lack of sleep didn't render me more violent.
