Alan fell asleep on the couch, and I have not the heart to wake him. He slept so poorly all weekend that it seems a shame to try and move him. I know he likes the couch, and it's certainly conformed to his shape over the years. When we replace sad couch, I'll probably feel a pang of guilt.

So I just covered him with our blue blanket and watched him sleep for a little while.

I wonder if there's some way it could be verified. Distant cousin type DNA or something. I don't know though. You'd think if someone hacked off his penis, it'd be written down somewhere.

There's no mention of that in any of the scholarly books on the subject of Rasputin. Unless someone cut it off during the autopsy.

His youngest daughter Maria came to America and became a lion tamer. I don't think she ever had any children though.
