We ran all out errands after work, including a stop in the fabric store. I found a beautiful gold and black brocade, along with a moss green velvety fabric. I have found Meier's clothes, at last! Strangely enough the green is the exact shade I pictured him wearing when I first created the character last year. I went ahead and bought several yards of fabric, and a perfect yard of green and gold ribbon for the hat. Joy! Not to mention the fact that the cloth was super cheap. Yay Hancock fabrics. I am thrilled.
I have a preliminary idea, based off a cassock pattern. Right now I'm trying to decide if I want to make sleeves or not. I went ahead and picked up enough fabric to do so. Mmm fantastic costume! I also want a ridiculous feather for the hat.
I'm so tired. I don't know why this won't go away. Originally I thought I would go out tonight, but we didn't get home until 7 and by then all I wanted to do was eat some dinner, curl up with a book and relax. We need to get up and clean a bit before we leave town tomorrow too.
