threeplusfireI donated money as an alumnus of the university for the first time today. $25 towards the Bevo Endowment Fund that is being established by the Silver Spurs. It will fund future care of the retiring Bevos, and go towards the Neighborhood Longhorns program and scholarships. It makes me happy, I suppose, to feel like I'm still somehow a part of the university.
My grandparents are alright. Most of the storm surge went west instead of east. The trees are flattened, and they don't have any power. But they are okay. Now if they would just get out of there to somewhere with reliable phone service.... I'm intensely relieved, and thankful for the kind words from friends.
