Republic of Whores is so great that I have laughed til I cried at certain parts, especially as my copy has illustrations. While his critique of the system is even closer to the surface the human element is what makes the book shine.
There were some stories in When Eve was Naked that I didn't find engaging, but a few that just made my hair stand on end.
