The first two days have passed into life with the clouded, ageless light of rain. I have the windows open so I can hear it. This morning I woke up and scrubbed the bath tub. I try not to make resolutions. I have a fickle heart and a bad track record for promises. I therefore resolve simple things. I'll endeavour to keep writing. I will not hoard so much soap in my cabinet and I will take more baths. Things are a bit easier when they smell better.
