Kundera writes well sometimes, not always in my opinion. But I really wouldn't want to talk with him because the fellow is a bit nuts. That's alright though.

From all that I've heard from my professors over the years, he's very reclusive and tempermental. It probably would be an interesting conversation once it got going though.

I've heard that on the rare occasions he's in the Czech Republic, when people recognize him and try to talk to him he pretends to be someone else. Even when it's totally obvious because his wife, who is also recognizable, is with him.
