I found a little auburn soapstone oil warmer this afternoon for a few dollars. It looks nice on the square stone plate Mom gave me for my birthday. Right now the house smells subtly of The Red Queen, all cherries and wood. I like it.

Unable to resist, I ordered some more things from BPAL this morning. this is me, admitting I have a problem. I obsessively amass soap, scents and bubble bath. I am making more of an effort to use them liberally and not hoard though. Books and soap would be my two biggest luxury expenses.

(the internet is not a luxury for us. hah.)

This month's issue of Harper's magazine is especially fascinating. A weird range of articles, but neat stuff.

i sorted out my soap box last week, i put all of the small slices i had in the shower to use up, like a soap drinks bar if you will. i collect lush soap and soaps and potions soap, i'm trying not to collect though but to USE. what are your favourites? or maybe you shouldn't tell me...

I have some Bath & body Works, the coconut lime verbena and cucumber melon. I am also very fond of Devonshire Soaps, a Texas business. I've only tried a fwe LUSH soaps, but they seem very nice.

my mom has the coconut lime verbena hand soap in her guest bath. i like the little scrumby "flakes" and that your hand smells like a coconut lime rickey (YUMMY) afterward :)
