not my damned day

So Alan was involved in some kind of car accident. He's okay and he says it wasn't his fault but he's not home yet. I don't know what happened yet.

edit Some fucktard in a truck nearly smashed into Alan, who had to swerve. Several other cars swerved around and crashed into each other. Totally the fault of truck driving fucktard. No serious injuries. Alan's okay, car's okay. Did I mention we don't have health insurance right now?

We owe the IRS $1400 that we don't fucking have because fucking Flood didn't hold enough out of our checks.

It's ironic, I was just telling my therapist that things were getting better. Ha.

Fuck fuck fuck fuck.

He finally called two hours after he was supposed to be home. Argh. He said he was alright on the phone, that he didn't get hit and it wasn't his fault. He had to wait and talk to the police however.

I'll call you this weekend, alright? Right now I think I'm going to throw up from sheer nerves.

The IRS has installment agreements for tax debts. I believe it's called an IA9465 (though I could be wrong about the numbers It's been almost 5 years since I was a tax examiner).

just call the IRS and ask about an installment agreement, that shoudl take care of you for the tax debt.

I'm glad Alan is okay. :(

The IRS is extraordinarily civil about payment plans, FYI, and lordy, I should know.

taxes are the devil. especially when it's not taken care of appropriately and accurately by your employer.

technically dan and i are currently "self employed" this means we get to go through the fun of taxes 4 times a year instead of 1 :) thankfully -- this only is for THIS year...which is, thankfully, half over already (done in july!).

i'm glad your alan is okay. car accidents are scary! was it near one of those stupidly short ramps?

It was on the side of 35 near the Walmart at 183. Guy thought he could shoot across three lans of traffic to get on the ramp.
