I forgot my badge this morning and didn't notice until I found the perfect parking space. Of course. So I have a temp badge on and I feel a bit like a goof. Only one more day of training and I start my shift on Saturday at ten.

Am I really doing this? I swing between feeling terrified out of my mind at the prospect or feeling confident that I've found an incredible, fufilling job. I suppose this is normal.

Josh and I talk about how the agency needs a new position. We'll have clubs, badges and tshirts. We could be the SHAFT unit, sent out to do righteous ass kicking of those rat bastards who abuse people. "Are you the caseworker? No, I'm just here to kick your ass."

Josh also suggested a fabulous tshirt which would only be funny to people who have this line of work. On the front it would read "I can perform my A/D/Ls." On the back - "If you can't, call me." Bwahahaha. Okay, really only funny to a small group but trust me it is genius.
