I think they are also called spiderplants. They have long green leaves, very slender with white edges. Very easy to grow. They clump, a bunch of these long narrow leaves falling outwards. Very sun loving. Cats seem to like to chew on them.I wish I knew the scientific name. I'm sure if you asked at a nursery they would know what you are talking about.
I think the monarchs are getting ready for their annual migration. Maybe you will seem them soon. :)
