I am at the libaray not studying. Oh well. There is still an hour before my exam.

Turned in my last pieces of paper work to Hana's mail box in the Slavic department office. Chatted with Analise for awhile. She found an ancient Powerbook 150 on a shelf in the film room. It seems to function, but we have no idea where it came from. Now it shall be abused by the department.

Talked with Keith in the basement. Since he brought up his lamp, he keeps the overhead lights off and pretends he isn't really at the University. (I keep typing university in Czech, ack) We joked that he should install a peephole in his door, so he can avoid students and department heads. He offered to write me a letter of recommendation for a scholarship I'm applying for.

On the front page of the Daily Texan is an article about a campus police officer who raped a student in the middle of the afternoon while he escorted her to his car. Oh my God. I have to wonder if he was responsible for the rape in Parlin last year during finals. It shouldn't shock me, it shouldn't disturb my jaded, cynical exterior but it does. That someone students look to for protection would violate one of them like this... I've started feeling unsafe even here.

I thought I'd ask how Thursday afternoon next week would be for you? Up to meeting the live and in-person fleshy Cate? I have a jury trial starting Monday but I think it'll be over by Wednesday.

Yea!! Of course!!! I can't imagine passing up a chance to hug a Russian princess and a warty warthog all in the same day! Hehe! ; ) That sounds great...ya'll just let me know where & when and I'll find my way.

Oh my. This just gets more and more exciting. :D Perhaps we should meet in the campus area so Warhol doesn't have to stray too far from his beloved office... :P

The campus area is about all I remember of Austin, which usually makes it a bit easier for me to get around over on that side of town. Anywhere around that that area is fine, as long as the parking is not going to be a giant pain in the ass. Oh, and somewhere I won't be pummelled by the townspeople with stones if I step out for a cigarette would also be nice. ; ) I know, I know...Cate's difficult! But that's about it for my demands. Promise!

Parking.. hmm. I'm sure that somewhere, parking exists. I just wouldn't know where to find it. ;)

How about Metro? You can even smoke inside there! They have tasty beverages and cookies. It's on the Drag, between the Coop and the Scientologists. You should be able to park somewhere on the street, maybe a block or two back from Guadalupe. Or the Dobie parking garage, or some such place.

I think Warhol might even remember how to get there. :P

That sounds perfectly perfect! I'll keep you posted next week and we can figure out a time. I'm thinking late morning/early afternoonish. I'll email you later in the week to work out the details. : )
