threeplusfireI had to spend twenty minutes convincing someone to make a report on a very serious CPS situation. The person involved was a bit too concerned about their belongings in the home, instead of the child involved. I was good though, and remained professional and polite instead of screaming at the person for being a selfish moron.
But aside from that, the day is wide open and good. I had cocktails made of vodka, watermelon juice and lime last night so I slept like the dead. Real sleep is such a blessing. Tonight I think I will take it easy, make some quiche for dinner and read magazines while I do the laundry. I also have some new books to read, including the big gay book of gay vampire stories. Well, it's not really called that but it might as well be. I miss my crazy lesbian vampire anthology that was lost to evil mold years ago. It had some pretty good stories.
I'm looking forward to the weekend. I have a D&D game on Friday night, which means much hilarity. Playing a cleric is an interesting change. Then on Sunday, there's the Firefly marathon with delicious food and learning to swear in Chinese. Fun times. Last night I bought groceries, and an armful of gigantic roses. They are copper colored, and I picked up some white ones also. I don't know why, but they are huge and lovely.
The morning clouds move quickly, grey and white and the light is so clear. It's been one of those days where I think about how much everything has changed.
