ba ba black sheep have you any wool?

1. I wanted to elope when I was 19 to some small town and work as a cashier, give up college and never talk to anyone I knew again. Thankfully that didn't happen. So I tried to elope once, was engaged twice, was married once and now I'm getting a divorce.

2. Cheese freaks me out, largely because of textural issues. I only eat it in small quantities unless it is queso. It hurts my stomach. Many of my friends consider me a freak of unholy origin because I don't eat much cheese.

3. My first cat was an orange tabby named Tango, after Fleetwood Mac's Tango in the Night. I wore out two casette tapes listening to that album, and my last CD copy was stolen. I really want it back. A) I love Fleetwood Mac, and B) that album has soundtracked every roadtrip of my childhood.

4. On the table in my bedroom, there is a polished walnut wand, three tiaras, three wooden boxes decorated in green, silver, black and the 18th century full of perfumes, a crystal ashtray from Prague, a carved wooden owl, a black cermaic box shaped like a star, the green stones that belong to Meier, and all my earings in a careless jumble.

5. I haven't dyed my hair in nearly a year. For the previous four, it was almost constantly dyed black after this crazy Halloween. When I was a teenager, I dyed it red a couple times. It's never been anything more exciting.

6. In my bathroom, there is literally a couple hundred dollars worth of soaps, lotions, scrubs, bath bombs, bubble bath, etc. I have always been like this and I couldn't really give you any good reason other than I like to take baths, I like to smell good, and the bathroom is the only place where I'm alone, away from everyone.

7. People who are pretentious about how they drink their coffee should be ridiculed as often as possible. It's how you like it and what works best with the particular coffee you are drinking right at the moment. The coffee I'm drinking right now only needs a bit of cream. The coffee my mother serves is best usually black. The coffee I get at the shop I like the most needs both cream and sugar. It doesn't flipping matter and if you get on a high horse about it, I will point and laugh because this pointless thing is a pet peeve of mine.

8. I've spent approximately ten days looking for a paperback book that was right in plain sight. Yeah, yeah, I found it. It was on my table.

9. Still in my closet are the first pair of Doc Martens I ever owned, black 14 hole boots. I love the hell out of those boots. Back in high school it took me approximately two minutes thirty seconds to get them on and laced up. Most of the time I wore jeans because I was convinced I was fat, so I don't know why I needed the higher boots. They went to France with me and they are still in good shape. They just need to be re-soled because they are getting thin.

10. I have a grasping, hungry streak that mortifies me. I covet, much more than any reasonable person should. I am obsessed with shiny objects. Yes, I really do want a pony though I would promptly give it to my mother as she rides better and deserves it more.

i have recently decided that i have to stop indulging in half and half in my daily coffee. it makes me very sad. my coffee is no longer caramel colored...it's chocolate. i suppose i'm particular about coffee additions and i suppose i should be satisfied knowing that half&half is still there, and i can return to it at coffee shops and such :(

and i can't believe you don't like cheese! but i'm glad queso is your exception!

You know, of all my quirks, the cheese thing gets the most attention from my friends. :)

No cheese, eh?

I still have mine from high school as well. They have accompanied me on many an adventure and have many more miles to go. It's amazing how attached one can get to a pair of scuffed-up boots.

I still have my Docs. They are purple.

I need to dig them out...hmmmm....

I'm with you there, although road tripping tends to involve either the Rumours album or the Peter Green-era song, "Man of the World."

You know what book. :P It was right on my table, underneath another paperback.

I really don't know why that album was chosen, except that it might have been the onyl Fleetwood MAc we had on cassette when I was a kid. Everything else was in the record collection.

You can't go wrong with purple Docs!
