I ended up in the book store today, and bought Cod: A Biography of the Fish that Changed the World and Salt: A World History. So far, the story of cod is engaging. I like the style, and the random old world recipes for cod dishes. Both books are by Mark Kurlansky and he has one coming out next month, The Big Oyster: History on the Half Shell. I love food history.

Playing WoW has been an exercise in frustration due to the lag. I have died so many times today I lost count. Argh.

Weekend was not nearly long enough.

I have a couple of Czech stamps (images of two stamps in Dr. Gracy's collection) that would very much like to be translated. Can you help me? Well, I say help me. I mean, will you do it? I can email you the slide.

It's fairly engaging, to take such a narrow focus on history. I like it.
