Work continues, busy as all get out. I had a sad call today, about a six month old baby and the reporter was trying not to cry while she told me the story. We all know I'm not really maternal and all that jazz, but it made me really sad. Of course, that had to be balanced out by the father making a spite report that was all probably lies because the mother filed sexual abuse charges against him. The best part of that call was the dad saying "She's schizo, she's crazy, she had a psychic evaluation at the hospital." Yeah. Hah. Oh well. I wish we knew why it is so busy.

You are so right, I have no idea why the phones are so ^&%$#@ busy, it's messed up. At 9:00 p.m. we had 19 calls waiting, which is unheard of. I'm sorry about your sad call, sometimes it's hard to shake those off. I was accused of being prejudiced tonight after a simple re-direct of the conversation which had nothing to do with race at all. The caller said, "Oh, so now I know how this works, you're not going to help me because I'm Hispanic." I said, "Ma'am, do you know what race I am?" She replied, "I don't care," totally missing my point. And Eduardo had a caller ask if he was in the Klan. Geez, what a day, what a day!

Someone asked Eduardo if he was in the KKK? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!?! Dude, the phones are psycho. I say we turn them off for a week.
