The neighbor has one of those awful yip-yap dogs that barks nonstop between the hours of 7:00am and 8:30am. Many of my other neighbors have dogs of all shapes and sizes that do not bark in such an annoying manner. Sigh.
Things are a bit quieter this week. I've settled back at my desk, no peer training right now. I like doing that, but it is a double edged sword. The work is twice as intense. But ultimately, it is useful and good. I've had several of my trainees come looking for me on the floor at times because they feel comfortable asking me a question. That's kind of cool, because in the past I haven't been that approachable.
I've lost a bit of weight, I think. Others have commented on it. The only thing that really irks me about the process is this inbetween clothes hell stage. I don't have that many clothes to begin with, and this isn't helping. I plan on raiding Melynda's closet for new shirts, at some point. I just don't the money or the time to buy new clothes, as much as I might want them. My calves are currently hating me from exercise this morning. i've grown tired of watching the yoga and pilates videos every single morning. So now I watch the news and create a new random work out every morning. That's kind of fun.
I should have stayed home and cleaned yesterday. Hah. I'm just not feeling the motivation now. Well. At least, I should be working on my writing project. I have the basic character concept down, but it is still lacking a name. Alas.
I watched the most recent episode of Battlestar Galactica last night. Oh my lord, Caprica Six and Gaius are freaking me out even more. Poor Sharon. Seriously good episode.

Battlestar Galactica
Date: 2006-03-01 05:12 pm (UTC)Of course, this is a far fetched theory. The event was incredibly traumatic for both of them, and each of them loved the other. I guess it could be showing that humans and cylons could respond similar to traumatic events. Whatever it may be, its definitely a really good plot device and it makes things interesting.
just my two bits worth.

Date: 2006-03-02 01:57 am (UTC)As for the link between Gaius and Six, the implanted consciousness trick has been fairly common in sci fi lately or at least in a few shows(Star Trek, SG-1, SG: Atlantis, Farscape, Babylon 5). Actually, i think every sci fi show has done something involved with transfering consciousness to something else or between people. I used to think Six was controlling the link somehow from Caprica, but clearly that episode disproves that theory. We don't much about about how cylons upload their consciousness before they die, although we do know it has a limited range (e.g. the resurrection ship following the fleet). I also used to think that Six may have uploaded part of her consciousness into Baltar as part of her attempt to control him, but that theory was also proved wrong. So i'm staying with the transfer of consciousness anomaly theory until that one is proven wrong too =)
