What a weird day. I stabbed my hand with something today, and it stings. Stupid bruise. It's just been one of those days. Nothing spectacular, but just kind of wearying. But then we were graced with a caller who named his daughter "Rebel" and buried his car in the back yard after a hit and run accident. Seriously, why bury the car?

*blink*

wow, this is almost a surreal entry.

Hahah, indeed. It was just that weird, all day long.

okay...so the guy hit someone and then buried his car?

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2006-03-02 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely. Would it help to know he's a meth user?

perhaps it was a symbolic thing, due to guilt? did the person die?

i knew a guy once, he was a real idiot, couldn't even blink both eyes simultaneously...but anyway...he was driving drunk and he hit someone and killed them, and 20 years later, long after he was allowed to drive again he refused. he used a moped instead, didn't feel he deserved to ever drive a car again.

No, the other person lived. I think it was some paranoid thing where if they couldn't find the car, they couldn't blame him.

Damn. What a sad story. I can respect his decision though. That's a heavy burden to carry.

i actually thought it was a really good decision regarding the moped, but i was impressed that a decision like that was coming from a guy like *him*. really weird guy.

Buried his car in his backyard?! That's quite an undertaking..

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2006-03-02 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
No joke, the dude had to rent a backhoe to dig the hole. That's some serious effort.

[identity profile] kythryne.livejournal.com 2006-03-02 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sorry, WHAT?

... Did he ever dig it back up again?

[identity profile] tsarina.livejournal.com 2006-03-02 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hahah I know! that's what I said!

I should have asked if he dug it back up, but I think so.
