This day is fired. I have a horrific bruise on my leg that is swollen up and makes it hard to walk. I just cracked my head on the desk. I would cry, except it's pointless and undignified and would only make my head hurt more.

Good grief, bless your leg and head! The horrible thought that came to my mind would have been what my mom would've said, "So, did you hit your head to get your mind off your leg?" Let's go postal on this joint to get even.

Now this is a fabulous idea. It was crazy last night too. Can you imagine, 10 calls waiting at MIDNIGHT? I actually told one guy to call back when he's sober because the call would go much better. The unmitigated GALL.

Yeah, he calls saying that this kid he knows is being molested. I ask how the kid is being molested. The caller says, "I'm not being molested!" I asked him how old he was, his reply: "37." I said, "Yeah, you're my age, you're not a child. HOW IS THE CHILD BEING MOLESTED?" Einstein's reply: "I don't have any children. I have two goldfish." "Sir," i said, my sarcastic side coming full round, "We are Child protective services, not Fish Protective Services." Then he refused to provide any names or addresses and proceeded to get mad that I wouldn't take a report....on WHAT? I asked him if he was under the influence and he answered the inevitable reply, "Uh, yeah, I've had a few beers." I told him to sober up, call us back, and hung up on him. WHEEEEE!
