So this day has been muggy and humid, like we suddenly landed in Houston instead of the Hill Country. Everything is wet. I parked my car, surprised that I got a decent parking spot. In front of the building I found a turtle! I don't know where the poor little creature came from. He was about the size of a grapefruit, a little grey and green turtle. I felt so bad, I didn't know what to do. I thought about trying to hide him in my desk. In the end I carried him over to a grassy area on the side of the building. There's some trees off that way, and maybe a creek. I hope he found his way home. It's been bugging me all day. Poor lost turtle. I couldn't just leave him there to get run over.

This is terrible. I'm so overly emotional about a turtle. I really wanted to take him in with me.

I think it's about that time when all soon-to-be-mommy turtles venture forth from their watery homes in search of a good place to dig in and lay their eggs, covering the eggs back up and heading back home, leaving their offspring to fend for themselves. I think we should call in and cite her for NSUP or perhaps even ABAN as she obviously has no intention of returning. You did a good thing in re-directing her.

Bwahahaha, NSUP! Someone's not choosing wisely out there. :P
