There are few things that bring me to strange quiet pleasure that I get from driving home in the middle of the night. I put the windows down, no matter what the temperature, crank the stero, and zoom along. I sing with the music, and just exist in this tiny, finite world for a few moments. I think I might make some mix cds, Driving with Amanda. (But they won't be as great as the real thing, with my bad singing. Though maybe you'd be happier without that.)

My sense of humor and balance has been restored. I've shaken off that frantic edge from work with some judiciious applications of conversation, relaxation, breakfast tacos and Nacho Libre. Will anyone far away from the Mexican border get the hilarity of Mexican wrestling or this movie?
