grand canyon

My first card came from Kira, who sent me a nice note and a beautiful photo of the Grand Canyon. I am so pleased! I went there when I was about seven years old. It's a pretty picture that could be a postcard itself. I'm also confiscating Tyler's postcard from Jackie that has a manly South American mountain. Soon my cube will be so much more interesting. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to hang the photos and cards up one by one, or if I should build a big collage.

Tyler was extra manly and changed the AC filter tonight. hah. I ate olives for dinner. And an ice cream cone, truth be told. I'm also writing my postcard to send to someone attending Phoenix Rising.

It was part of a gathering of steam engines (NOT locomotives) in the Dockyard as part of the celebrations of Brunel's 200th Birthday. Needless to say ol' IKB didn't actually put in an appearance!

When we arrived it was sunny, during the afternoon it began to cloud over & by the time we decided we needed coffee it started to chuck it. Fortunately it wasn't far to the station & back home - by which time the rain had stopped.
