This is something I hear on a weekly basis. You don't care. Bullshit. If all our calls were not recorded and it wasn't unprofessional, I would go off on these people. Right. I don't care. I have this job because it pays so much money and it's so easy and I don't have to care. I listen to horror stories about abuse and sobbing and screaming and threats eight hours every day five days a week because I don't care. I take between twelve and eighteen calls every day. We'll say I take an average of seventy five calls in each work week. I listen to seventy five different stories and different pleas every week because I don't care. Right.

What the fuck ever.

This day is fired. My car is injured, I have cramps, and I have no cigarettes or lunch and this is all fucking bullshit.

You certainly picked a really strange entry to leave that comment on. Care to elaborate? You want to meet me because I get so angry and worked up about social work, because I'm a crazy person who thought social work sounded like a swell idea or because of my sarcasm? I wasn't being sarcastic. You'd probably know for sure if I were. I want to meet you because I want to meet you. It's interesting and admirable that you're a social worker, and I do like sarcasm.

Fair enough. So how did you end over on this corner of LJ land? My guess is the friends list of the LJ austin community but if it was something else I'd be interested to know. I like the spiderweb links of the internet.

The rest of this week is no good for meetings, as I'm going out of town to kick a friend of mine in the shins and make a pie, but perhaps next week we could grab a cup of coffee and meet.
